What I’m Working On

This week has kept me pretty busy, Dave and I ended up going fishing on Sunday after church… so I took my beads with me to work on.  I was soooo excited to get started on rolling some of the damaged books I found at the thrift store Saturday when we went.  I took Wheres Waldo with me to roll at the bay when we were fishing.

Our map beads always peak in popularity during the summers, I think it’s because everyone gets the itch to travel and hit the road, or could it be the beautiful blue color, reminds everyone of hanging by the beach or pool?  Either way I am in the same boat, I love wearing them, for me because I love road trips and camping.  Not sure that I will be able to go on a trip this summer, but a girl can dream!

Dave and I have been rolling together at night once I get home from work, which is really fun and relaxing.  We have been working on Snoopy comics, and also a book called The Princess and the Furball… it has super pretty colored illustrations in the book, super natural and woodsy looking. Tonight and tomorrow I am going to work as fast as I can get to some of those classic novels rolled… to be honest I don’t have as much fun rolling the novels, because it’s just text with no colors… and I love colors, but people want to wear their favorite book, which I can understand 🙂  I am getting as many as I can ready for this Saturdays craft show in La Jolla. Hope you all are having a wonderful week!
