I have a few friends that are interior designers, when working on projects with different clients, they quickly collect a treasure trove of super awesome fabric.  The colors, patterns and textures are awesome, the problem, the sample pieces are so freaking small, the the heck can you do with them?  Often times the backs, and or fronts have a part of the fabric staples or covered with a glued card with info about the fabric.  I had my friend give me a ton of small sample pieces.  I decided to turn them into fun mini pennants.

I like to make my string length about 72 inches.  I cut the pennants out, they vary, depending on the amount of fabric you have available.  Just cut straight up diamond shapes, if you got hooked up with large pieces of fabric, make them bigger, why not!  I like to use odd numbers of pennants so its even.  Lay out the order in which you want them ahead of time, cause when the glue gun is going you need to move so fast.  When gluing them just put a streak in the middle, lay it down, then seal the edges.  Repeat until done, in order to keep spacing even, measure side to side so its equal on both sides of the banner, be sure to leave some empty space for hanging….
